Sunday Schools

'Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth'

Ecclesiastes 12 v 1

There are two Sunday schools associated with Loughgall Presbyterian church, Cloveneden Sunday School, which is held on Sunday mornings and Kinnego Sunday School which meets in the afternoons.

The objectives in Sunday school are two fold.  Primarily, a simple gospel message is presented, explaining our sinful condition by birth (Romans 3 v 23), the punishment we deserve (Romans 6 v 23) and the way of forgiveness that God has provided through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation.

Secondly, our aim is to teach young Christians, so that they may grow in the faith and be good witnesses to others.

The weekly meetings commence with chorus singing and prayer.  Afterwards, the children are divided into small classes depending on their age and are taught Bible lessons.  Teaching aids include the use of workbooks and visual aids.  Weekly homework includes Scripture texts and catechism.

The older children, between the ages of 12 and 18, are taught in the Bible class and study a range of Bible and Missionary topics.

The Sunday schools hold a special Christmas party and excursion or Fun evening in June.
