Loughgall Presbyterian Church, known locally as Cloveneden, is situated just over a mile (on the C180 ) from Loughgall village on a beautiful raised setting in the apple orchards of County Armagh.

Reverend Moses Hogg in 'A History of Presbyterian Congregations ' states that the Presbyterian community of Loughgall was part of Vinecash until 1711, when they formed a new congregation. However, the year 1704, recorded on the church date-stone, may be the accurate date of the congregation's foundation as the Rev Alexander Bruce, the minister of Vinecash since 1697, died in April 1704. After his death, it is likely that Loughgall went its own way.

Church activities include morning and afternoon Sunday Schools, Christian Endeavour, PWA, Campaigners, Friday night Youth Club, Youth Fellowship, Mid week Bible Study and Prayer time, Early Morning Prayer Meeting and various others meetings for prayer. Holiday Bible Club and Youth Camp take place during the summer.

The spiritual ethos of the Congregation is that of Reformed Evangelical. The emphasis is on the preaching of the Gospel of God's Grace in Jesus Christ with the recognition of God's Word and His Holy Spirit as the vital instruments in the conversion of sinners.

The Congregation has a healthy missionary zeal and contributes financially to many missionary organisations.

The number of young people has grown in the Congregation over the last few years and many are members of the Sunday Schools, Junior Christian Endeavour and the Campaigners.   Teenagers, from age thirteen, are encouraged to attend the Youth Fellowship and Youth Club. There is an ongoing desire to see the young people trusting in Christ for salvation from within the context of Loughgall Presbyterian and also within the wider community.

If you have logged on to this page, whether it be for information or just out of curiosity and you are not converted, there is a remedy and that is through repentance and faith in the saving work of Jesus Christ on Calvary's Cross.

MISSION STATEMENT

Loughgall Presbyterian Church exists to lead people to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We want them to be built up in their faith and taught skills in order to live out the faith in this Godless and sinful age.

Our spiritual aspiration is that the ministry of the church is relevant to everyone, of every age and from every background.

We want our fellowship to be stimulated by the love of Christ and to be so infectious within the local community that other people will want to trust in Him for salvation.
